♣ What is the best way to reserve my room or suite?
To reserve your guest room or suite in the Rome Grand Hotel Plaza is to use our secure online booking facility – your credit card details are required as guarantee for the reservation although no money will be debited until you check out of the hotel.
♣ Is the room rate per person or per night?
The prices shown on the special offers page and on the online booking system are in Euro and indicate the price per room per night. They include everything i.e accommodation unit, buffet breakfast, service and tax.
♣ Are children free?
Yes, Children up to the age of 3 are free if they sleep in their parent’s room. For older children and in order to ensure more comfort we suggest you reserve a triple room as it is more spacious. For babies a cot will be provided free of charge.

♣ Why do I have to include my credit card number?
You will be required to supply a credit card number at the time of booking. The Grand Hotel Plaza requires your credit card details to guarantee the reservation. Provided you cancel within the cancellation period required no money will be debited from your card until you check out of the Hotel.
♣ Is the buffet breakfast included in the Room Rate?
We offer two rates one is Room Only and the other is Room and Buffet Breakfast. The breakfast is a rich buffet breakfast and is served in the elegant surroundings of the Salone Mascagni on the ground floor breakfast room next to the Salone delle Feste. Breakfast items including cereals, fresh milk, eggs, ham, bacon, salamis, yoghurt, fresh seasonal fruit, pastries and cakes, fresh bread, rolls, butter, marmalade, jams, fresh fruit juices, teas, coffees and cappuccino or caffè latte is served at your table upon requesting it from the waiter.
♣ What is the cancellation deadline for my reservation?
Cancellation can be made up to 24 hours before arrival and no penalty will be charged. For all cancellations and for no shows i.e. where the Grand Hotel Plaza do not receive your written email cancellation a 01 night late cancellation charge will be debited to your credit card.
♣ Once I have made my reservation, how do I receive my confirmation?
The online booking system automatically sends you an email confirmation which you may print and bring with you. This or your booking reference number may be requested at the check-in although normally your second name and passport will suffice. NB There is no need for the Grand Hotel Plaza reconfirm your online reservation made using the secure booking system as it is automatically confirmed…. However, the hotel may contact you with regards to any particular requests in the "comments box" when making your reservation.
♣ What credit-cards are accepted by the booking system?
Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Diners, JCB plus the Italian Debit Card "CartaSi" and the UK equivalent Switch are also accepted.
♣ My credit card number is correct, but the hotel is not accepting it. Why?
There are a few possibilities:
-Your card type is not accepted at the Grand Hotel Plaza (see above
list of accepted cards)
-The card expiration date is before the arrival date
-You have reached your credit limit.
-There is a computer error – apologies but you should return
and try again later on

♣ What is the normal check in time?
Normal check in time is 14:00 i.e. 2pm. If you arrive early we cannot guarantee the room will be ready although you may leave your luggage until later on… If you want you can request an early check in i.e. before 11 a.m. or before 09:00 a.m. for which there is a supplement of 100 and 150 Euros respectively. You may confirm the early check in by clicking on the “Extras” facility when making your online reservation using our booking system.
♣ What is the official category of the Grand Hotel Plaza Rome?
The Grand Hotel Plaza is an official 5 star hotel in Rome offering luxury accommodation in the shape of 200 deluxe rooms and suites.
♣ Do all of your rooms contain a Private En-Suite Bathroom?
Yes, all guest rooms and suites at the Grand Hotel Plaza contain a private bathroom with either bathtub or shower and sometimes both. The bathrooms are all in carrara marble. All bathrooms contain hairdryer and complimentary accessories including soft fluffy towels, shampoos, shower gels, shoeshine and soaps.
♣ What is the difference between Executive and Classic Rooms?
The Executive Rooms are more spacious and most of these rooms also have a private balcony.
♣ What is the difference between the Executive Suites and the Junior Suites?
The Executive suites contain a separate seating area which can be closed off from the bedroom. On the other hand the Junior Suites are extremely spacious but the seating area is part of the bedroom.
♣ Are the guest rooms air conditioned and do you have central heating?
Yes, all of the rooms at the Grand Hotel Plaza are fitted with sophisticated climate control systems which allow guests to regulate the air conditioning and central heating to their own liking.
♣ Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
Yes, all of the rooms and suites at the 5 star Luxury Hotel Plaza are quiet and romantic.
♣ Do the rooms or suites have balcony or terrace?
The classic rooms and executive rooms do not contain balconies or terraces however most of our Executive Suites contain a small balcony or terrace.
♣ Do you have non smoking rooms?
Yes.
♣ Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
Yes. All our rooms are equipped with satellite television and telephone.
♣ Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
Yes.
Directions Questions
♣ What are the directions to the hotel?
The Grand Hotel Plaza is located in the prestigious via del Corso shopping boulevard which is a long straight road which runs from Piazza del Popolo to the Piazza Venezia. All of Rome’s major attractions are within easy walking distance and the location is very quiet as Via del Corso is pedestrianised, open only to taxis.
♣ How do I get to Rome and the Grand Hotel Plaza from both Ciampino Airport and Fiumicino International Airport (also known as Leonardo Da Vinci)?
From Fiumicino you should take the shuttle train to Termini railway station and then a taxi. NB the Grand Hotel Plaza can arrange a private pick up if required? Please book this service under “optional extras” when you make your online reservation.
Ciampino is where Ryanair and Easyjet flights arrive and is the second airport for Rome. Located slightly closer to the center of Rome than Fiumicino, Ciampino is however slightly less accessible due to the lack of a train or metro service to the centre of Rome. You could book the Terravision bus service but we do recommend that you book our private pick up service.
♣ Journey time from Airports to Hotel?
Both train and coach take approximately 1 hour. By taxi it should only take half an hour.
♣ From Termini Train Station?
A taxi will cost approximately 12 Euro but again depends on traffic and how many bags you have (it costs approximately 1 Euro for every large bag you are carrying) Alternatively, you can take a Bus directly from the station to the Stop of San Silvestre i.e. the start of Via del Corso and walk the 150 metres to the Grand Hotel Plaza
♣ Is there a Grand Hotel Plaza transfer service to/from Rome Airports?
Pick-up can be arranged on request. Costs vary depending on which airport you are arriving. Please see the optional extras on the online booking system.

The Grand Hotel Plaza is open 24 / 7 i.e. all year round.
♣ Can I specify where I would like my room located (preferred floor, etc)?
The Grand Hotel Plaza staff will certainly do their best to accommodate special requests. We cannot guarantee guest room location because it is subject to availability.
♣ Which languages are spoken at the reception?
Italian, English, German, Spanish and French
♣ How many floors do you have and do you have an elevator?
We have 5 floors and 2 elevators.
♣ What category or star rating is your hotel?
The Grand Hotel Plaza is an official five star i.e. a luxury hotel in Rome offering superior first class accommodation whose services include: hotel bar, conference center, breakfast room, 24 hour concierge / night porter service, colour satellite television and pay t.v., mini bar, telephone, wi-fi internet connection etc.
♣ Does your hotel have Parking Facilities?
Yes we can offer valet parking in a nearby garage for a small daily supplement – please let use know if you intend to bring the car so that we may arrange parking beforehand.

Each room has an internet e-mail point.
♣ Are pets welcome?
No sorry for the comfort and hygiene purposes we do not permit pets of any description here at the Grand Hotel Plaza in Rome.

No but our Grand Hotel Plaza concierge will be only too happy to suggest some lovely Roman Eateries and Hostelries in the surrounding area.
